In 2025, the sub-branch has taken its commitment a step further by embracing the Veterans Games initiative, a celebration of sport, recreation, and resilience designed to bring veterans together in a positive and empowering way.
What Are the Veterans Games?
The Veterans Games is a national program that encourages younger veterans to participate in sporting challenges to improve physical and mental wellbeing.
These events are part sponsored by Lilydale RSL, President Bill Dobson said “we understand the need for the younger veterans to bond together in team sports and social competitions, all designed to foster connection and reduce isolation”
